about

The only thing I've had on my stereo since the covid-19 shutdown is the Germs "MIA" anthology. It's the record that made sense on day one, and it's the record that continues to make sense each passing day. Not because of their coincidentally timely fucking name - but purely for the anger, and the frustration, and the freedom, and the fact that it just makes me happy.

Now, let's talk this Mutant Love "album". We were set to finish recording the second half of it in April. That session, for obvious reasons, is on indefinite hold. So, instead of letting what we have already finished sit in limbo for any longer, we've decided just fuck it, let's get it out now - the first half or so of the songs that would have been on the final product, totally free for download, streaming, whatever, doesn't matter. It's free, dig in. One day, hopefully, it will be released in a complete and full form, but for today, here's the shit we got, and we're proud of it.

I turned off the Germs for a bit to check these mixes, to make sure they were ready to upload. It wasn't easy turning off the Germs, I sorta had a thing going, a thing that I was hoping to ride as long as I could pull off. So, if you're gonna take some time out of your apocalypse to dig into our little EP here, I hope that we captured a bit of the anger, frustration, freedom, and happiness that inspired it. But if it just makes you shake your ass, that's pretty fucking great too.

XOXO666,
mutant love.

* big disclaimer: we sound NOTHING like the germs

*if you want to donate, it will be shared by four jobless musicians, spent on things that musicians spend money on.

*we planned to release this ourselves, but as it stands we're not gonna have any money left for it, so if you know a label who might dig this kinda thing, by all means push it forward and thank you
